Our Founder and CEO
Chad Mitchell founded Canopy Ridge Group with a single purpose—Helping Georgia families maintain beautiful properties year-round—and taking care of the outdoor projects they don’t have time for.
He started his first landscaping service as a teenager mowing yards for neighbors. During college, he worked full-time at the Des Moines Golf and Country Club, one of the premier private clubs in the Midwest and host of the 1999 U.S. Senior Open and the 2017 Solheim Cup. He gained championship-level grounds experience maintaining a top-tier private golf course.
Chad brings over 30 years of landscaping and outdoor maintenance experience. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.
At Canopy Ridge Group, we intentionally serve a smaller number of customers so we can provide better service, communication, and quality.
